August Masters - Small Crowd, BIG upset

The 2nd Annual August Masters was a small affair with only 5 competitors.  Still, you only need 2 to play chess, and despite the small gathering there was a big upset!

By far the feature of the tournament was Kam Lee's upset win over tournament favourite Ian Rout. Game below.

This led Kam to a picket fence win over the rest of the field and a very pretty crosstable.

It is likely the August Masters won't run next year as the crowds over the past 2 years have been too small. But, the newly formed Launceston Chess Club is considering using this weekend for a tournament in their local area.
