Attacking like a Computer

  • Migrant's Resources Centre 49 Molle St Hobart, TAS, 7000 Australia (map)

In the off week between the end of the HICC Open Rapid, the Tasmanian Open, and then the HICC Club Championships, the Hobart Chess Club will be hosting its first adult club lecture in many years. While the HIJCC delivers lectures for our juniors every week, the senior club has been orientated towards playing, and has found it difficult to arrange time and lecturers to deliver a service for adults.

Unfortunately due to time commitments outside chess, state champion and known swindler Kevin Bonham was unable to present, but has promised a lecture on swindling at some time in the future. In his stead, Ian Little will be presenting a recent exciting and attacking game which caused controversy after he was accused of using a computer to cheat.

The session will be informal, and will be instructive for juniors and seniors alike.  While the start time is 7pm, this is subject to change as the lecture will follow on from the HICC General Meeting.  Casual games will be played after the lecture.
