GM Max Illingworth on Attacking the King

  • Location to be confirmed (map)

Grandmaster Max Illingworth, Australian Champion 2014/15 will present the first of a 2 part lecture series on attacking and defending the king.

This week it's: Attacking the King.

Max writes:

We all know that the game is decided by checkmate - so why not take control of the game and go for the jugular? There are a few simple principles that, when understood, can make you a much stronger attacker. Learn about this as well as the right ways to fight for the initiative, and transform yourself into a far more dangerous player!

The lecture will commence at 7pm and run for 90 minutes. PGN files of all the games and annotations will be made available after the lecture.

Admission will be $5 (includes complementary tea and coffee).

Everyone is welcome, this event is open to non-members at no additional charge.
