The first game of the evening will commence between 6:30 and 6:45, and the second game will commence between 7:00 and 7:15.
FINISH TIME FOR PARENTS:
Young juniors who tend to play quickly will often finish their games by 7:30. Games involving stronger juniors who play slowly and carefully may go later.
All games are expected to conclude by 8pm.
15 minutes +2 seconds/move from move 40. This means you only get the inciment once you've passed the 40th move, NOT from the beginning of the game.
Players are not required to annotate with this time control.
Pairings will be made on the night from those present or expected to arrive. If players who have been paired fail to arrive on time, then their clock may be started, or their game may be re-paired or forfeited.
Because of the 2 game per week schedule entries open on the 27th of February, and close on the 6th of March. Players who enter on the 6th will be given half-point byes for the rounds they have missed.
Each player is allowed up to two half point byes, for any rounds except the final 2 rounds. Any half point byes assigned for late entry are included in this. Half point byes must be requested in advance. All other absences will score zero.
If you cannot attend on a given night, or are going to be late, you or your parent must notify us in advance. This can be done by using the absence notification form below, or by sms to Kevin Bonham.
